Supervision

I have experience of providing supervision to trainee clinical psychologists, qualified clinical psychologists, and other professions (including clinical nurse specialists within a physical health setting).

I specialise in working with children, adolescents and their families/carers, particularly in relation to trauma and loss, attachment difficulties and chronic physical health difficulties. I also have specialist experience of working with looked after and adopted children, and the care system around them.

I work in an integrative way, mainly drawing upon cognitive-behavioural, narrative, systemic and attachment-based principles, but I am also experienced and trained in providing specialist treatments for PTSD, including Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I also have experience of providing teaching and consultation around psychological ideas and theories to other disciplines (e.g. social workers, medics, nurses, and health visitors).

I published my doctoral research on children’s experiences of being bereaved of a parent through suicide, and I am currently in the process of instigating some qualitative research around the emotional experiences of parents after having a baby admitted to a neonatal unit.

Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your supervision needs and we can see whether I would be a ‘good-fit’. I would be happy to provide supervision on either an individual or a group basis.
